My name is Mr. Wilson I was born just down the
road in Carlsbad. I grew up on a ranch, 64 miles from the closest
town in between Mayhill and Hondo. I graduated High School from
Artesia where I was a member of FFA and VICA (Skills USA). I
attended ENMU-Portales for two years majoring in Wildlife and Fishery
Science. I then worked as a patrol officer for ENMU-Police Department
for two years. I have worked for several large ranches working
both cows and sheep; in the oilfield; and for USW as a security
guard. I graduated from USW with Bachelors in Science:
Secondary Education with emphasis in Science. I also recently completed a masters in Middle School Science and a masters in Administration. This will be my tenth year teaching in the Hobbs School District. I met and
married Mhaegan Brown who is from Hobbs and we have an eleven year old son
Cason who is in sixth grade and our other son Clayton is a very
active seven year old who is a second grader. My hobbies are riding my horses,
gardening, hunting, hiking, and fishing, camping, and spending time
with my family. This year I will be teaching 8th grade
science. I previously taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science
here at Houston Middle School. I have been teaching at Houston Middle
School for 9 years and completed my student teaching here
also. I am the head coach for Science Olympiad, head 8th grade football coach and the department head for science.
Science is in everything that happens every day. If you will open your
mind you will find the fun in science.
I am ready for an exciting year!! ARE YOU??
